Tampa Bay Downs has pushed again its pair of $100,000 five-furlong turf sprints, the Turf Sprint S. for older males and Lightning Metropolis S. for fillies and mares, from subsequent Saturday to Sunday, Feb. 21. The pair of occasions are the centerpieces of the monitor’s annual Turf Dash Showcase Day. “The turf course has taken in extra of two inches of rain the final two days, with extra rain forecast throughout the week,” Tampa Bay Downs Vice President-Normal Supervisor Peter Berube mentioned. “By switching the races to Sunday now, horsemen planning to enter both race could have enough time to regulate their coaching schedules. Our hope is that the turf course might be in its ordinary glorious situation by subsequent Sunday.” Entries for Sunday’s card might be taken Thursday.
